Law & Legal Studies: Government Documents

Information relating to the subjects of Law and Legal Studies.

Catalog of Government Publications

The Catalog of Government Publications (CGP) is the finding tool for federal publications that includes descriptive records for historical and current publications and provides direct links to those that are available online. Users can search by authoring agency, title, subject, and general key word, or click on "Advanced Search" for more options.

GPO's Federal Digital System (FDsys) is an advanced digital system that will enable GPO to manage Government information from all three branches of the U.S. Government.

FDsys is available as a public beta during migration of information from GPO Access. The migration of information from GPO Access into FDsys will be complete in 2010, until this time GPO Access will contain all content.

CUNY+ & WorldCat

The Cuny+ Library Catalog is the best resouce to use to locate government materials after 1976 which are in the collection on campus.

The City College of New York is a selective depository, and so not every document printed by GPO since 1976 is available here on campus. Since the GPO has been cataloging documents using Library of Congress Subject Headings and Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, Second Edition (AACR2) WorldCat is a great place to look for government documents if City College does not own a publication.
