Muslim Journeys at CUNY Libraries: InterLibrary Loan (ILL)

In January of 2013, four CUNY libraries (BMCC, CCNY, City Tech, and Hostos) were awarded the NEH/ALA Muslim Journeys Bookshelf grant. This LibGuide includes links to all the resources included in the grant as well as programming information.

What is ILL and how does it work?

ILL is a service libraries provide for obtaining items that are not available in your library. Usually, this service is used to request books that are outside the CUNY system, since the CUNY community can avail themselves of the CLICS service in order to request books from other CUNY libraries. ILL is also used to request articles and videos if a patron's institutional library has a copy of this item (regardless of whether or no the item is at another CUNY library). If all copies of the Muslim Journeys book you would like to borrow are on loan in the CUNY system, use ILL to request a copy of the book from outside CUNY.
