Request a Book for Pick Up
CCNY Libraries is now offering print item pick up for faculty members.
- We are only able to provide pick up for books we currently have in our collection at the Harlem campus.
- In order to request an item, you must first locate it in OneSearch, our library catalog, available by using the search box on the Library homepage or by using the advanced search option.
- You will be asked to provide both the item call number and a 'permalink' from OneSearch. A 30 second tutorial on generating the permalink is available here.
- Including the call number and the permalink are particularly important because the Library may hold multiple editions or translations of a title, and we want to ensure we get the specific one you are requesting.
- Up to 3 items can be requested at once in the form. If you would like to request more than 3 items, please fill the form out again.
- If a physical book in our collection is available as an e-book via Internet Archive’s Open Library, you will be asked to use the Open Library e-book version so that we may remain in the initiative and students and other patrons may continue to access these e-books.
- Due to the limited staff, please allow at least a week between requesting items and pick up.
- Once your items are ready, you will receive an email with instructions on when and where to pick them up.
- In order to come on-campus to pick books up, you must fill out the Campus Access Request Form. Click here for instructions.
- Full details on how to fill out this form will be included in your confirmation email.
