Best Practices for Video Tutorials
- Keep them fairly short, ideally under 3 minutes.
- Use the template provided here for intro and outro title cards, and any text slides you want to include.
- Write your script out first, then record the screencast or screenshots to match.
- After you record your narration, adjust your transcript to match what you say. This is imporant for accessibility.
Once you've completed a video tutorial, send the video file and the transcript to Emily, who will upload both into our YouTube channel, and put them on our Video Tutorials page.
