City College of New York Libraries Statement on Hate Crimes

by Daisy Dominguez on 2021-04-06T13:47:46-04:00 | 0 Comments

CCNY Libraries are committed to providing safe, productive, and welcoming environments for all. We do not tolerate hatred, harassment, or violence against any individual or group in any form.

We condemn the continuing despicable and unconscionable acts of hatred and violence in our communities. Everyone deserves to live without the threat of violence and feel safe in their neighborhoods and communities.

Our deepest sympathies go out to all Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders whose persecution reached a new low during the recent mass murder of Asian American women in Atlanta, Georgia.

We stand in solidarity with all communities across the country and world devastated by continued hate crimes. We reiterate our commitment to reflective action against racism as well as prejudice of all kinds.
