Access to Other Libraries

CUNY Libraries

A valid City College ID card will get you access to other CUNY campus libraries. You may borrow books from those libraries, however computer and database access, as well as printing privileges are limited and vary by campus. Speak with a librarian to find out about individual campus policies.

METRO Referral

The METRO Library Council has a referral program available to the CCNY community. METRO Referrals can be obtained at any of CCNY Libraries Reference Desks.

A librarian will fill out an online form for you, which will generate an email confirmation which allows you to schedule a visit to the library that has the material you need.

Manhattan Research Library Initiative (MaRLI)

The Manhattan Research Library Initiative (MaRLI) is a joint borrowing program between the New York Public Library, NYU and Columbia, which serves as a means to expand access to research collections in order to better serve researchers. The program offers approved NYPL cardholders with a demonstrable research need the ability to access and borrow materials unavailable at NYPL from NYU and Columbia, and to borrow select NYPL general research materials usually reserved for on-site use.

For eligibility information and online application, see the NYPL's MaRLI information here.
