Library Lunch and Learn- Educational Seminars at the CUNY School of Medicine

The Medical Library at the CUNY Schools of Medicine (CSOM) offers monthly one-hour educational sessions for faculty and staff.  Marketed as Library, Lunch and Learn, the sessions allow the medical librarian to highlight a specific medical library resource in support of faculty educational and professional endeavors.  The Medical Librarian or a vendor trainer is responsible for delivering the content at each session.  Demonstrations run for about 45 minutes followed by a period of Q & A.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all sessions have been delivered virtually via Zoom.  These educational sessions are also recorded and later shared with members of the CSOM community.

During the past year, resources such as Access Medicine, Embase, Scopus, and VisualDx have all been featured.  Faculty and staff have expressed satisfaction with the sessions and look forward to more.
