If we partially re-open, it’s likely that physical books will need to be quarantined for several days, greatly reducing students’ access to them. E-books and other openly-licensed digital resources are the way to go. Use this guide to:
- Help you prepare for the probable difficulties of the library getting e-textbooks due to very restrictive publisher licensing terms and conditions
- Request e-books when possible
- Find free or openly-licensed resources to develop OER (Open Educational Resources) or ZTC (Zero Textbook Cost) courses as a way to save your students money and perhaps provide a richer pedagogical experience
