Frequently Asked Questions

While CCNY Libraries are physically closed, CCNY librarians are delivering hybrid (asynchronous and synchronous) classes which will total 75-minutes. Request a class here.

  • They need to know their Citymail or City College e-mail username and password in order to sign onto the computers/laptops.
  • They need to have their library card (their City College ID card) activated at the Circulation Desk. This is actually optional and only necessary if they want to request books from other CUNY libraries or non-CUNY libraries during their library class or sign onto their library account for any reason.
  • While CCNY Libraries is closed physically, you may contact Circulation at or Alternatively, you can leave a message at (212) 650-7155 and a library staff member will return your call.

Please request a library class at least one week in advance.

  • NAC STC3 (1/340A): 34 seats
  • NAC STC2 (1/340): 32 seats
  • NAC STC1 (1/302): 50 seats
  • Architecture Library Classroom Room 101C: 21 seats
  • Active Learning Classrooms 1/301 Y & 1/301 Z: 36 seats
    • Please note that once your library class is scheduled, it will be up to you to request an active learning classroom by e-mailing The Library cannot schedule these classrooms.)
  • The active learning classrooms are equipped with movable chairs and laptops as well as multiple smart screens, all of which promote group work. However, students must remove and replace laptops from the charging stations and this takes a little extra time. It is up to faculty to request these classrooms by e-mailing The Library cannot schedule these classrooms.
  • The regular computer classrooms have a traditional classroom set up with only one screen in front of the room, and they are equipped with desktop computers, which don't require extra time to set up. These can be reserved by the Library.

Once your library class is scheduled, please request an active learning classroom by e-mailing The Library cannot schedule these classrooms.

STC and active learning classrooms are located in the Tech Center, on the first floor of the NAC Building.

After entering on Convent Avenue, walk left past the escalators and make a left at the men's bathroom. After those doors, you will see the entrance to the Tech Center.

You can also get to the Tech Center by going up the escalators, entering Cohen Library, and then taking the staircase immediately on your left (across from the security guard and Circulation Desk). Please see below for the general layout of the Tech Center classrooms.
