JoVE RESEARCH

JoVE Research video journal it is the first scientific video journal dedicated to advancing science by increasing reproducibility and efficient knowledge transfer. Articles combine high-quality video demonstrations of experiments with a detailed text protocol. All content is peer-reviewed and indexed in Medline, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and SciFinder and other relevant databases. It has more than 10,000 video articles featuring cutting-edge scientific techniques across 13 scientific disciplines.                                                    CCNY Library subscribes to 7 scientific disciplines:

HOW TO SEARCH JoVE RESEARCH?

  1. In the search box at the top, enter your search terms.

  1. Your results will be divided into two sections: RESEARCH and EDUCATION. Please IGNORE EDUCATION and focus on the links under RESEARCH. Before you open a link make sure the article belongs to a section subscribed by the library such as Journal (Biology). Do not pick an article from Journal (Genetics) for example. Please refer to the list of sections subscribed by the library.
  2. Select the article. Click the play button to watch the video that will gives you a summary of  the article and its findings. 
  3. Click the ARTICLE tab below the video to read the full text of the article, and after that you can get its pdf.

SCIENTIFIC INDEXES

JoVE articles are indexed in PubMed/Medline, Web of Science, Scopus, and SciFinder. Searching for 'JoVE', 'MyJoVE', 'JoVE[jour]', or 'Journal of Visualized Experiments' on any online resources should bring up video articles.
